Taking place at Stoneleigh Park in Coventry, The Emergency Services Show 2012 is the key event for anyone involved in emergency planning, response or recovery, both in the UK and abroad. Last year saw 400 exhibitors and well over 4000 visitors.
Arne Jacobsen was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen, professor at the Academy (1956-65).
Three of his designs feature in most exhibition brochures – Swan Chair, Egg Chair and Series 7.
As a designer, Jacobsen made prototypes for furniture, textiles, wallpaper, silverware, and other items. The cooperation between Arne Jacobsen and Fritz Hansen dates back to 1934, but it was in 1952 the break-through came with the Ant™. It was succeeded by the Series 7™ in 1955. This propelled his and Fritz Hansen’s names into furniture history.
Arne Jacobsen was very productive both as an architect and as a designer. At the end of the 50s Arne Jacobsen designed the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, and for that project the Egg™, the Swan™, the Swan™ sofa and Series 3300™. Arne Jacobsen was and is an admired and outstanding designer and architect.

The first Festival of Motoring to take place at Stoneleigh Park will be held over this Bank Holiday weekend of 25 & 26 August 2012, and we are planning an exciting line-up of activities for you to enjoy throughout the whole weekend.
Eventex have provided furniture for the event.
The flagship ‘historic vehicle run’ which has always formed the backbone of the event on the Sunday will remain an integral part of the festival, but following feedback from last year’s participants, it will enjoy a makeover with an all-new route through the Coventry and Warwickshire countryside.
Events will take place at Stoneleigh Park throughout the whole weekend. Whilst entry to the Festival is free of charge on both days, there will be a small charge to park in the public car park at Stoneleigh.

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world – a unique summer weekend that brings together an impossibly heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’ to create the largest car culture event in the world. Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual hill-climb event is a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.
The Festival of Speed remains unique in its ability to attract the majority of the current season’s Formula 1 teams and drivers, with six of the 2012 F1 teams confirmed for Goodwood. These GP teams will include Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari, Vodafone McLaren Racing, Lotus, Mercedes GP and Caterham. Current F1 drivers and leading characters in action at the Festival will include current double World Champion Sebastian Vettel, plus the two previous World Champions, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Heikki Kovalainen, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey are also in action up the 1.16-mile Goodwood hillclimb.
Past Grand Prix masters present at this summer’s Festival of Speed include Alain Prost, Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart, John Surtees, Nick Heidfeld, Jochen Mass, Emerson Fittipaldi and Martin Donnelly, alljoining a roll-call of other motor sport stars at Goodwood that reads like a Who’s Who of motor racing.
